Würth Elektronik MagI³C Variable Step-Down MicroModules (VDMM)

Würth Elektronik MagI³C VDMM Variable Step-Down MicroModules are designed as small, low-power, fully integrated DC-DC power supplies. The devices include a buck switching regulator, an inductor, and small input and output capacitors in one package. The modules feature spread spectrum technology to optimize EMI performance and support two solder cycles, ensuring flexibility and reliability during manufacturing. The VDMM family complies with the low-noise electromagnetic emission norm EN55022 class B. Due to its small size and high efficiency, the MicroModules are particularly suitable for portable instruments and battery-powered equipment. The modules are available in 2 package sizes.

The modules are available in 2 package sizes. The first package size is a low-profile 3.2mm x 2.5mm x 1.6mm LGA-6EP package (overmolded and open frame options) with good thermal performance. The LGA-6EP package size supports input voltages of 2.5V to 5.5V and is designed for a small solution size.

The LGA-8EP is the second package, which offers high efficiency and delivers up to 300mA of output current. With a 3.5V to 36V operating input voltage range and it includes a very low-profile micropackage design for space-constrained applications.

The LGA-12 is a compact, very low-profile micro package, ideal for space-constrained applications. This package is designed for direct connection to a 48V industrial voltage network to suit industrial environments.
