Banner Engineering's T18-2 Rugged, Washdown Photoelectric Sensors, Now at Mouser, Improve Reliability on Food Production Lines
March 10, 2026 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest electronic components and industrial automation products, is now stocking the T18-2 rugged, washdown photoelectric sensors from Banner Engineering. These self-contained photoelectric sensors offer reliable long-range optical performance on food production lines. Fully sealed and leakproof, the T18-2 sensors overcome the challenges posed by harsh washdown and thermal-shock environments.
The Banner Engineering T18-2 photoelectric sensors, now available from Mouser, feature IP69K epoxy-encapsulated circuitry and a certified FDA-grade plastic housing for reliability in wet, thermal-shock environments. The sensors are ultrasonically welded together to eliminate joints and prevent air gaps and condensation from forming in environments with rapidly changing temperatures. The T18-2 sensors' smooth design also allows for easier cleaning and improved hygiene.
For simple alignment and setup, the T18-2 sensors feature bright and powerful visible red emitters (excluding infrared models). The T18-2 sensors also include dual-function power and stability indicators, and the laser-etched product marking can withstand repeated cleaning cycles. The T18-2 photoelectric sensors operate at temperatures from -40°C to +70°C with a range of up to 20m.
