Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP2462 Synchronous Step-Down Converters

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP2462 Synchronous Step-Down Converters are highly efficient switching regulators designed for a wide range of power applications. These converters operate from a 4.2V to 32V input voltage range and deliver up to 2A of continuous output current. Integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs simplify design while providing fast response through current-mode control.

The MP2462 devices feature a low 55μA quiescent current, well-suited for battery-powered and standby-power systems. These converters improve efficiency at light loads by reducing switching frequency and include low-dropout operation for battery applications. Protection features such as over-current protection, thermal shutdown, output discharge, and internal soft start help ensure reliable operation.

The MPS converters require only a few external components and are housed in a compact TSOT23-6 package for space-constrained designs. High efficiency and a wide input range make the converters suitable for smart-home devices, wide-input power supplies, and battery-powered equipment.
