Mikroe MIKROE-3121 IrThermo 3 Click

Mikroe MIKROE-3121 IrThermo 3 Click is designed to use an MLX90632 FIR sensor for contactless measurement of the average temperature of objects. The ASSP circuitry of the MLX90632 sensor prevents interference from external sources and filters and amplifies the sensor signal to yield an accuracy of up to ±1°C. Mikroe IrThermo 3 Click features high measurement resolution, good precision within the specified temperature range, 5-pin interface, and optical filtering of the visible light spectrum.

Melexis MLX90632 FIR sensor is factory calibrated and the calibration constants are stored in the internal EEPROM. This FIR sensor is calibrated to sense objects with temperatures ranging from -20°C to +200°C and ambient temperatures up to +80°C. The IrThermo 3 click combines the calibration constants and trimming values stored in the EEPROM with the measurements from the ambient temperature sensor for the calculations. Typical applications include air conditioning devices, accurate contactless thermal measurement, temperature control of moving, and hard-to-reach parts.
