Lattice Semiconductor Platform Manager 2 Family
Lattice Semiconductor Platform Manager 2 Family comprises of LPTM21x in-system programmable hardware management controllers and an L-ASC10 in-system hardware management expander. This family of devices features programmable analog with FPGA on a single chip to integrate all hardware management functions in a circuit board. Hardware management includes power, thermal, and control plane management. The Platform Manager 2 Family of products offers increased reliability through precision voltage monitoring and high scalability with optimized hardware management.
The Lattice Semiconductor Platform Manager 2 Family of devices allows fast and reliable fault detection/logging for power/thermal management, board control logic, and simulation and in-system debug support. These products minimize fault propagation by enabling individual hardware management sub-blocks (power, thermal, and control path) to respond to faults in other blocks within nano-seconds.
LPTM21x Hardware Management Controllers
Lattice Platform Manager 2 LPTM21x is a fast-reacting programmable logic-based hardware management controller. The Platform Manager 2 is an integrated solution combining analog sense and control elements with scalable programmable logic resources. This unique approach allows Platform Manager 2 to integrate power management (power sequencing, voltage monitoring, trimming, and margining) and thermal management (temperature monitoring, fan control, and power control). It also includes control plane functions (system configuration, I/O expansion, etc.) as a single device.
L-ASC10 Hardware Management Expander
The L-ASC10 (Analog Sense and Control - 10 rail) is a hardware management (power, thermal, and control plane management) expander. This device is designed to implement a circuit board's hardware management control function with Platform Manager 2, MachXO2, MachXO3, or ECP5 FPGAs. The L-ASC10 enables seamless scaling of power supply voltage and current monitoring, temperature monitoring, and sequence/margin control channels. This expander also includes dedicated interfaces supporting the exchange of monitor signal status and output control signals with these centralized hardware management controllers.
