CN Low-Resistance Soft-Termination X7R MLCCs
TDK CN Low-Resistance Soft-Termination X7R MLCCs address the growing demand for larger capacitance in 48V power-line applications used in AI servers, humanoid robots, xEVs, and industrial equipment. These capacitors feature a 100V rating and 10µF capacitance in a compact 3225 package, supporting higher-power systems while reducing power loss and wiring requirements. Unlike conventional soft-termination capacitors, which can exhibit increased equivalent series resistance (ESR) due to resin electrode layers, the CN series has an optimized resin electrode structure that maintains terminal resistance comparable to standard-terminal products. TDK CN Low-Resistance Soft-Termination X7R MLCCs help reduce component count and mounting area requirements, and improve system reliability. The devices enable up to a 50% reduction in the number of MLCCs required in some designs, while the CNA series offers AEC-Q200-qualified reliability for automotive applications.
