LTC4020 55V Buck-Boost Battery Chargers

Analog Devices Inc. LTC4020 55V Buck-Boost Multi-Chemistry Battery Chargers offer high-efficiency battery charging over a wide voltage range of 4.5V to 55V input and 60V absolute maximum. These chargers are developed as a high-voltage power manager producing PowerPath™ instant-on operation and include an onboard buck-boost DC/DC controller. Battery charge requirements, input power supply limitations, and load variations are in response to the LTC4020 ideally managing power distribution between battery and converter outputs. Although the battery is fully discharged, the Analog Devices LTC4020 instant-on operation ensures system load power. Features include bad battery detection with auto-reset and an integrated timer for termination and protection.
