Contest Description:
The Contest begins on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 and ends on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, (the “Promotion Period”). By participating in the Contest, each entrant accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Mouser Electronics, Inc. (“Sponsor”), which shall be final and binding in all respects.
Eligibility:
The Contest is open to attendees of the 2013 APEC Tradeshow (the “Tradeshow”) held in Long Beach, California, who are 18 years of age or older, validation of date of birth may be required. Employees of Sponsor and the immediate family and household members (spouses, parents, siblings and children) of each such employee are not eligible.
Prizes:
The following prizes will be awarded during the Contest.
One (1) STMicroelectronics: 3-phase high voltage inverter power board for FOC and scalar motor control based on the STGIPN3H60 (SLLIMM™-nano). 511-STEVAL-IHM035V1, with an approximately retail value (“ARV”) of $155.07.
One (1) Cree: LMR4 TrueWhite® LED Module, using patented TrueWhite Technology to achieve an industry-leading combination of light quality and efficacy. 941-LMR040100027F910, with ARV of $83.73.
One (1) Texas Instruments: Power Management IC Development Tools UCD3138 Eval Mod, designed to help evaluate the UCD3138 64-pin digital control device in off-line power converter application and then to aid its design. 595-UCD3138PFCEVM026, with an ARV of $320.87
One (1): iPAD mini, with an ARV of $400.
Six (6): Infineon Books, each with an ARV of $200.
No cash equivalent of a prize will be awarded. All prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made.
Random Drawing:
Winners will be selected in four (4) random drawings (the “Drawings”) held (i) in the afternoon on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Mouser Booth at the Tradeshow (the “Tuesday Drawing”); (ii) in the afternoon on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Mouser Booth at the Tradeshow (the “Wednesday Drawing”); (iii) at 11:45 AM on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Mouser Power Supply Session in Room 102B at the Tradeshow (the “Session Prize Drawing”); and (iv) on or before April 5, 2013 at Sponsor’s corporate headquarters (the “Grand Prize Drawing”), from all eligible submitted entries received during the Promotion Period. One (1) winner will be drawn at the Tuesday Drawing and one (1) winner will be drawn at the Wednesday Drawing. The winner drawn at the Tuesday Drawing will receive a STMicroelectronics Inverter Power Board and the winner drawn at the Wednesday Drawing will receive a Cree LMR4 TrueWhite® LED Module. One (1) winner will be drawn at the Session Prize Drawing who will receive an iPAD mini. At the Grand Prize Drawing, there will be seven (7) winners drawn. The first six (6) winners drawn each will receive an Infineon Book. The seventh winner drawn will receive a Texas Instruments Power Management IC Development Tool. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. The potential prize winners will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability Release and (where legal) Publicity Release.
Entry Process:
To be eligible for a chance to win in the Tuesday Drawing, the Wednesday Drawing or the Grand Prize Drawing, a business card (which must contain the entrant’s name and email address) or official entry slip must be fully completed and deposited into the drawing box at the Mouser Booth at the Tradeshow. For the Grand Prize, an entrant’s conference badge also may be scanned as an entry. By entering the Contest, an entrant automatically grants Sponsor permission to send its monthly newsletter to the entrant.
Winner Selection and Notification:
Only one entry permitted per person. Any attempted second entry shall be discarded, and the entrant may be disqualified from the Contest. All Drawings will be conducted under the supervision of Sponsor. The decisions of Sponsor are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. Entrants need not be present at the time of the Drawing to win. Winners will be notified by phone or e-mail. If a winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been made within five (5) business days of the Drawing, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected.
Power Bingo Promotion:
To play Power Bingo, a player must obtain a game card and scan his/her badge at the Mouser Booth at the Tradeshow and visit each listed manufacturer’s booth at the Tradeshow to receive a Mouser blue sticker to place on the appropriate space on the game card. Participating manufacturers may require the contestant to scan his/her badge at the manufacturer’s booth before receiving the Mouser blue sticker. Once an entrant scores a “bingo” (five across, down or diagonal), he or she must return the game card to the Mouser Booth to receive his or her prize of a set of Mouser-branded earbud headphones with an ARV of $10. Not every “bingo” winner may win a prize. The number of prizes is limited and will only be awarded while they last.
General Conditions:
This Contest is void where and to the extent prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable laws, including, without limitation, federal, state, and local laws and regulations. In the event of non-compliance by any winner with these Official Rules, an alternate winner may be selected. Prizes are non-transferable. Return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable will result in a disqualification of the winner and an alternate winner may be selected. All prizes will be awarded. Except where legally prohibited, acceptance of any prize constitutes permission for Sponsor. to use each winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice, address (city, state and/or country) and testimonials, in printed, broadcast or other media, whether now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, in any manner it deems appropriate in connection with promoting this or any other Contest and/or promotion sponsored by it, without further compensation to the winner.
Privacy Information:
Any personal information received by Sponsor in connection with this Contest will be used solely in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy, which can be found at http://www.mouser.com/privacypolicy.
Releases:
By participating, entrants agree that Sponsor, those involved in the development, production (including prize suppliers), implementation and distribution of this Contest and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, service providers, and agencies, and their directors, officers, agents, employees, attorneys, and any other person or entity associated with such entities and/or promotion (hereinafter collectively called “Promoters”), shall not be liable for any claims, damages, losses or injuries, including any third party claims, arising from or relating to, in whole or in part, this Contest, including entry and participation in this Contest and acceptance, possession, use, misuse or inability to use of the prizes. All entrants further agree that in the event of any third party claims, damages, losses or injuries, arising from or relating to such entrant’s participation in this Contest, such entrant will indemnify and hold Promoters harmless from and against any and all such claims, including reasonable attorneys’ fees related thereto. Promoters shall not be liable for entries that are delayed, lost, misdirected, undelivered, incorrect or incomplete, and such entries will be not be eligible for this Contest. Promoters shall not be responsible for any technical malfunctions of any telephone network, computer online system, computer equipment or software; program malfunctions or other failures; delayed computer transactions or network connections; any errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical or electronic; or any combination thereof, including, without limitation, any injury or damage to the computer of any entrant or any other person related to or resulting from downloading any part of this Contest. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Contest will be ineligible for prizes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Contest should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond its control corrupt the proper administration or security of the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to modify the rules of the Contest in any way or at any time, as long as reasonable notice is given.
Taxes:
All income, sales, use and other taxes, duties, or fees (and the reporting thereof) assessed as a result of winning any prize won are the sole responsibility of each winner, including, without limitation, any federal/country, state, or local taxes, which may be deemed applicable in such winner’s jurisdiction of residence. Winners may be required to complete certain Internal Revenue Service tax information reporting forms before or upon receipt of a Prize.
Governing Laws:
This Contest shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States of America. By participating in this Contest, entrants agree that the state and federal courts located in the State of Texas shall have jurisdiction over any dispute or litigation arising from or relating to this Contest and that venue for such litigation shall be only in the state and federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas, United States of America.
Conditions:
Each entrant, by entering this Contest, agrees that: (i) he or she will abide by and be bound by these Official Rules, which are final and binding in all respects; (ii) the Promoters have not made any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to any prize and specifically disclaim all such warranties, including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose; and (iii) the prizes are awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
Severability. If any provisions of these Official Rules are determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision were not contained herein.
Winner’s List:
Any legally-required winners list may be obtained after March 30, 2013 and no later than June 30, 2013 by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Mouser’s APEC Tradeshow Giveaway, c/o Mouser Electronics, Inc.
