TPS2492 / TPS2493 Hotswap Controllers

The Texas Instruments TPS2492 and TPS2493 easy-to-use, positive high voltage, 14-pin hotswap controllers safely drive an external N-channel FET to control load current. These TI hotswap controllers feature programmable power foldback protection that ensures the external FET operates inside its safe operating area during overload conditions by controlling power dissipation. The analog current monitor output on the TPS2492 and TPS2493 provides a signal ready for sampling with an external A/D converter. These TI hotswap controllers are ideal for server backplanes, storage area networks, medical systems, plug-in modules, and base stations.
