Mini SAS HD Connectors

TE Connectivity's (TE) Mini-SAS HD Connector System is essential for interconnecting storage systems in data centers. These Miniature Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) High Density (HD) connectors and cable assemblies comply with the SAS-3 standard. They support both internal and external applications. Designers can choose different numbers of ports in a Mini-SAS HD connector, depending on the data throughput required. There are four lanes in the TE Mini-SAS HD Connector System, and each lane delivers 12Gbps. Therefore, a single port handles 48Gbps. In addition to storage, Mini-SAS HD connectors are used in some types of industrial and medical equipment. This system is ideal for SAS applications such as rack-mount servers, workstations, storage racks, high-performance computing, host bus adapters (HBAs), redundant arrays of inexpensive disks (RAID), switches, and more.
