CY8CMBR3xxx CAPSENSE™ Express™ Controllers

Infineon Technologies CY8CMBR3xxx CAPSENSE™ Express™ Controllers enable advanced, yet easy-to-implement capacitive touch sensing user interface solutions. This register-configurable family, which supports up to 16 capacitive sensing inputs, eliminates time-consuming firmware development. These controllers are ideal for implementing capacitive buttons, sliders, and proximity-sensing solutions with minimal development-cycle times. 

CAPSENSE™ Express Controllers

Infineon Technologies CAPSENSE™ Express Controllers enable users to integrate up to 16 GPIOs for a sleek and trendy Capacitive sensing solution. The addition of the ultra-low power CY8CMBR2xxx series into this family, coupled with the SmartSense Auto-tuning algorithm, revolutionizes the simplicity and ease with which up to 16 GPIOs can be integrated into CAPSENSE solutions without the mundane and tiresome process of manual tuning. This advantage enables quick turn time-to-market, while also maintaining flexibility for customer projects. Features include up to 16 CAPSENSE buttons that can be integrated with the revolutionary SmartSense Auto-tuning algorithm. It also has a small footprint package and LED drive capability with the Infineon CY8CMBR2xxx series, which eliminates the tuning process and compensates for environmental changes during runtime and the capability to have 15μA per button in run mode.

CAPSENSE™ Capacitive Touch Sensing Controller

Infineon Technologies CAPSENSE™ Express Capacitive Touch Sensing Controller solutions simplify button replacement by eliminating unnecessary software tools, firmware development, device programming, and system tuning. Infineon CAPSENSE Express delivers a register configurable device that does not require firmware or device coding and is enabled with the Infineon SmartSense Auto-Tuning algorithm, eliminating the need to tune the user interface manually. The controller supports ten capacitive sensing buttons and 10 GPOs. Unregulated battery operation is available due to a voltage range of 1.71 to 5.5V and ultra-low power consumption in both run and sleep modes. Additional features include noise immunity to radiated and conducted noise and flanking sensor suppression to maintain robust sensing while using closely spaced buttons.
