ADuM140D/E 4-Channel Isolators

Analog Devices Inc. ADuM140D/E 4-Channel Isolators are based on iCoupler® technology, which integrates high-speed CMOS and monolithic air core transformer technology. ADuM140D/E isolators provide a maximum propagation delay of 13ns with pulse width distortion less than 3ns and tight channel-to-channel matching at 3ns. The data channels are independent and are available in a variety of configurations with withstand voltage ratings of 3.75kVrms. These isolators operate with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 1.8V to 5V, allowing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well as enabling voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier. The isolators ensure DC correctness in the absence of input logic transitions. Ideal applications include general-purpose multi-channel isolation, serial peripheral interface (SPI)/data converter isolation, and industrial field bus isolation.

These iCoupler isolators feature high-speed CMOS and monolithic air core transformer technology and an on-off-keying (OOK) architecture. The isolators offer outstanding performance and proven galvanic isolation. To protect data signals, these iCoupler digital isolators provide the industry's highest surge protection of 16kVpk and withstand voltage ratings up to 5kVrms. For additional surge protection, the isolators have a 10KV reinforced surge rating. To support high-speed communications and data integrity, the isolators have 150Mbps throughput, 14ns max. propagation delay, and 100kV/µs transient immunity. Suitable for a wide variety of applications, the isolators operate over a 1.7V to 5.5V supply range and feature 1 to 4 input channels.
